Follow the directions and it works fantastic!!!!!

We had a serious calcium build up on our pool tile from softened water running into the pool. We switched our water softener and RO system to a whole house water treatment system (H2O concepts). I used the descale treatment to help get rid of the unsightly calcium build up all around our pool. I was totally prepared to having to repeat this treatment a few times before I saw results. However, I followed the directions on the bottle and was pleasantly surprised when most of the calcium build up was removed with the first treatment. As an added plus our self cleaning pool is once again working properly!!!!

Worked Great

Bought the 1/2 gallon, followed the directions for levels of Chlorine and Ph, poured the entire jug into my 13000g pool, raised the water surface above the stain line, and yep it removed all of the white calcium stains I had within 48 hrs. I was amazed at what just happened. It works

Terrible instructions

The description online is misleading in so many ways. This product is not for you if you have a negative edge pool, because you cannot raise the water level above the scale line. Also, the information online does not indicate that you have to reduce the chlorine level and turn off a salt generator for a couple of weeks. It says so on the product, but then the indication is to bring the chlorine to 1-3ppm, whereas most reviews say it is worthless unless applied with chlorine below 1ppm. So I purchased this product but was unable to use it during the hot summer days when going without chlorine for an extended period would have been a disaster. Furthermore, the instructions on how to apply it to the pool are different, depending on where you're reading them. In one place, Leslie's pools says to add it to the pool by pouring it around the perimeter. In another place, the instructions are to use the cap to apply it directly to the scale rim around the pool (not just pouring it into the water, but rather onto the top of the side wall of the pool.)

DID NOTHING!

Our pool was perfect until we had to get 6,000 gals of water pumped into the pool. (We had a leak but it's fixed now) Within a short time, I started noting the liner was turning a light brown in areas on the bottom of our above ground pool. The areas have since become darker and the stain is covering everything but the steps! I had 4 water samples done and the last Leslie's did showed a high amount of copper. This product did nothing. The directions said to double the usage amt. to get rid of the stain faster. That took almost the whole container so I dumped the rest in. NO RESULTS!!!
