Jacuzzi - 127,000 BTU Commercial Grade Pool Heat Pump

I recently installed the Jacuzzi® J-H127C 127,000 BTU Commercial Grade Pool Heat Pump for my pool. My pool is only about 12,000 gallons and the average temperature was about 76 degrees - too cold. On a hot Florida day, due to all of the tree shade, it was about 82 degrees - still not warm enough to walk or jump into without having the chills. The heat pump was installed during the first week of May the temperature was 78 degrees. Within 8 hours the temperature increased to 88 degrees. The Jacuzzi pump is very quite and easy to program. This pump requires an electrical whip to connect to the disconnect box. I would have been practical to have it installed by the manufacturer. The serviceman installing the pump does not make any electrical connections however, it was not difficult to connect. Just make sure your electrician is standing by so you can ensure all is working after the installation. Overall 5 stars for the first few weeks.

The heating is kind of disappointing. 17,000 gallon pool and it doesn't keep it very warm. If the sun is out, 85+ degrees, no wind, it gets the water to about 84 degrees by the time the pump shuts off for the night. If daytime temp is below 75 degrees it will only keep the pool about 74-78 degrees. We were hoping to get more use out of the pool this winter. We are in deep south Texas, not cold winters at all. It might give us an extra month in the fall and an extra month in the spring. Really wish we hadn't spent the money for no more than it helps.
