Highly considered as the finest filtration option, Diatomaceous Earth is a porous powder with microscopic openings that allows clean water to pass through while trapping tiny particles as small as 1 to 5 microns. This powder is usually poured into a slurry inside the skimmer coating the filter grids. Diatomaceous Earth (DE) traps tiny particles allowing for better filtration while getting rid of any cloudy water for a sparkling pool all year round. This DE filter media comes in a 24 pound poly bag and works with all DE pool and spa filters.
