We are committed to supporting state and local mandates to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and we remain open to do our part in protecting public health. Water that is not properly maintained can serve as a breeding ground for potentially fatal viruses including E.coli, Malaria, West Nile and Zika. We are in a position to help keep our communities safe from these serious public health risks by providing essential products and services that maintain the safety and sanitization of homes and businesses. The health and safety of our customers, communities and associates remains our highest priority and we continue to take all CDC recommended precautions necessary to ensure their safety and well-being.
Dear Customers, Like you, Leslie’s is deeply concerned about the impact to the health and well-being of our employees, customers, and communities from the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our teams are continuously responding to information from local and national health agencies and taking action to minimize the risk to our customers and associates. We also acknowledge that many of you may be concerned about the ability to service and maintain your pool or spa during this time of uncertainty. The purpose of this message is to share what we are doing and how we can help.
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), there's no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection should remove or inactivate the virus that causes the coronavirus.
The CDC has recommended the use of household bleach to clean and disinfect surfaces to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The CDC provides a procedure for making a bleach solution using household bleach. Liquid pool chlorine is approximately two times stronger than household bleach. The bleach solution recommended by the CDC can be formulated by substituting the recommended amount of bleach with half the amount of liquid chlorine.
